The book entitled Introduction to Infectious Viral Diseases of Animals deals with 21 chapters on important viral diseases of different species of animals authored by renowned researchers. Included in the book are certain diseases that are not species-specific, rather affect a range of host species in a manner that we hope will not only be accessible to the undergraduate veterinary students, but also will serve as a reference for post-graduate scholars of preventive veterinary medicine and veterinary pathology. Meanwhile, the book has not ignored the diseases of zoonotic significance. Each chapter of the book designed with recent updates on viral diseases will hopefully help the students to understand the diseases in detail. The book is meant to be followed as both a companion to the course on special pathology and viral diseases under systemic virology course as well as a standalone reference for different infectious viral diseases of livestock species.'
